I have also posted three short podcasts covering the one-page readings in this lesson. They run about 5 minutes each. Most likely, you will be asked to read these short passages in class. However, they will also be available on the iPads for those who will find the podcasts most helpful during class time.
We're almost done with our hurricane unit! With Hurricane Sandy currently bearing down on the east coast, we have an excellent opportunity to put our new knowledge to work. We will spend some time in class investigating why Sandy is such a threat to so many people in that part of the country, and how it came about in the first place.
